Urusan game rating Indo ini mungkin bakal cepet diberesin tapi hebohnya udah ke mana-mana soalnya selain Komdigi yang emang ga pernah becus kerjaannya dari jaman Kominfo, bahkan sampe jaman Kementerian Penerangan, video games are one of the last few things Indonesians rely on to escape reality, not to mention the government never spending the effort to really understand and support the industry, instead of bullying it as yet another tax subject. And now it looks like they’re making it worse.
If this was a decade ago or more I would have rallied and posted an incendiary take about the situation the way I did when the government demanded RIM to give them backdoor access to BlackBerry. These days I barely have the energy. There’s just way too many battles to fight, and I’m fucking tired.

Ha! And now Steam took down IGRS after the weekend backlash. Curious to see the flurry of comms between Komdigi and Steam. The fact that a Komdigi official openly blamed Steam on X for implementing “fake” ratings while they’re just following guidelines shows how unprofessional the Ministry are. Apparently they’re looking at legal options, supposedly checking if Steam is violating Indonesian laws but really it’s to save face since they exposed the Ministry as being wholly incompetent.
