If you dig through several-hundred-year old trash, you're probably an archaeologist, which is a respected profession.
The humble aeologist who digs through 2-week-old trash, muss less so.

@rygorous out in the desert we see these comparisons all the time. like, right in the same frame there'll be 2500 year old rock art, a 100 year old cowboy inscription, and a mylar balloon from last week hanging in a pinon tree
