Compared to last year we had more than 100x the users on @foss_public_alert_server for this year's national alert test in Germany. And it showed the same bottlenecks we had already seen during the recent heat waves: notification delivery is slowed down and eventually stalls entirely due to about 40% going to push servers that rate limit under such conditions. Mozilla's and #KDE's push servers carried the bulk of the notifications, without hitting limits.

Celebrated 30 years of #KDE with a few people yesterday. Not only were there active contributors who hadn't been born yet when this all started, there were also kids who's parents have met via KDE. It's amazing how multi-generational this has become :)

Seit wenigen Tagen sind Schweden und Finnland wieder mit dem Zug verbunden. Das musste ich direkt ausprobieren. In Oulu kommt der IC aus Helsinki an, wechselt die Zugnummer und fährt dann weiter bis Haparanda. Ich probiere direkt mal die Ekstra-Klasse aus. Vorher noch ein Gleis weiter: Ein IC mit einem Wagen zum Transport von Gefangenen ist eingefahren.
