If people contributed to a project with the understanding that it would contain LLM contributions, that's their prerogative, and some people are fine with that. But the reality is that most of these projects are older than that. People invested their effort on a different social contract, and it was changed out from under them. It's like relicensing but more consequential. I think that's a much bigger theft than scraping. Scraping doesn't steal our communities.

The leg is acting up tonight - feels how I imagine a metal rod hammered through the knee would. (an extra hinge point). Meanwhile the Allodynia has the skin stinging like acid every time the bedsheet moves a fraction. This is Nettie. A chippie from the backyard. She got caught up in some bird netting from somewhere. It was around her neck and her right front paw. We were able to lure her into a "custom" designed Tupperware trap, with peanuts. The mesh bag around the box is because she is very fast. Faster than a speeding bullet, etc. We took her to Hobbitstee, a wildlife sanctuary and rehab in Haldimand near us. They gave her a whiff of anesthesia to cut the netting and to examine...
