Surely is a proxy for wealth. To abolish it simply transposes the issue onto the next measurement. Possession, property, means of production, access to resource. It doesn’t solve the issue of equitable quality of life. Taxing the existing system, however, can. And it can do it without overhauling the entirety of modern society.
