Growing up in Gulu City, Okullu never thought the games he played in the refugee camp would one day lead him to filmmaking. He used to make toy cars and a ‘box TV’ from papyrus and paper. Today, he’s a DOP and a mentor at Sisi Film Lab. It’s crazy how childhood creativity can prepare us for who we become. #film #movies #filmmaker #filmmaking #SisiStories #cinema

Our latest movie night gave us some interesting reactions. We watched two very different films, and clearly, Sister Midnight left some people questioning their life choices. Some loved the films, some needed a little explanation, and others said they would have never watched them on their own but were glad they did. #film #movies #filmmaker #filmmaking #SisiStories #cinema

It’s #FollowFriday ! We’re looking to discover and connect with more accounts from the arts community, film production companies, arts organisations, creative collectives, and other people or groups doing interesting work. If you know any accounts we should check out, recommend them below or tag them so we can find them. For those who don’t know us, we’re a film collective based in Uganda, made up of Ugandan filmmakers working across different areas of film. #film #filmmaker #filmmaking #cinema

"I, however, liked acting, and I have a few friends who introduced me to the film spaces in Gulu. But acting opportunities were few, and the payments were not really there. I was a little broke and needed to earn money." See our stories #SisiStories https://sisifilmcollective.org/i-found-employment/ #writing #writingcommunity #film #movies #blogging

A great example of an #IQTrainwreck spotted in the wild by @privacat An overflow error in PhP reformats a commonly used fake phone number format to being an actual real phone number. Worth remembering that "phone numbers" are just label identifiers for a circuit path end node in a network and perhaps shouldn't be handled as integers in your data model https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/dallas-family-thrift-center-daily-wtf-poor-data-carey-lening-cdpp-bmy6e/
