The Óbidos Cat Óbidos has a castle and a full circuit of medieval walls, but plenty of people were stopping for the cat instead. He lay on his back on the cobbles in the middle of the street, happy with a rub behind the ears and a few words from anyone who bent down. With that coat, he’s […]< ... https://inphotos.org/2026/09/20/the-obidos-cat/ #Animals #CalicoCat #cat #cobblestones #MaleCalicoCat #Óbidos #Photo #Photography #Portugal #StreetCat #StreetPhotography #sunshine #travel

Blue and Green in Óbidos The white wall with its thick blue trim caught my eye in Óbidos. I love that blue colour. I love to see matching colours too, so I was delighted to see matching green, and then the man in the blue polo shirt. A Pencil Box in the Gallery Alpino is a Spanish brand of school colouring pencils, and here the box had been blown up to the size of a door and hung in the MACA’s temporary exhibition on colour. I ♡ Alicante I stayed on the roof after the sun set. There wasn’t much cloud in the sky, but a haze on the horizon caught the glow of the disappeared sun and lit up the edge of that expanse. Soon after, a neon sign lit up on the roof of a building opposite declaring its love f ... https://inphotos.org/2026/09/24/i-%e2%99%a1-alicante/ #2026 #Alicante #BellTower #BlueHour #CostaBlanca #dusk #NeonSign #Photo #Photography #rooftops #silhouette #SonyA7RV #SonyFe24240mmF3563Oss #Spain #sunset

In The Heat of the Day It was very hot in Óbidos, and this couple had settled against a low parapet with their dog stretched out on the paving beside them. I would have gone looking for shade. I only noticed later that the woman was wearing a denim jacket! Lines on Lines The sun was high in Alicante, but the tall buildings and narrow streets cast deep shadows I took advantage of. The horizontal lines of this primary school had to be black and white. I looked it up on Google Maps and found it here, but if you look at Street View, the only images are […… ... https://inphotos.org/2026/09/28/lines-on-lines/ #Alicante #Architecture #BlackAndWhite #lines #monochrome #pedestrian #Photo #Photography #school #shadows #Spain #StreetPhotography

Building Season in Blackrock The sun went down behind Páirc Uí Chaoimh and turned the sky a deep orange. A Ring of Shade Above the promenade at El Postiguet in Alicante is a walkway to the town where you can find a neat place to photograph passing people against the cubed background. Orange Against the Blue Alicante was still hot in late September, and the shade by the port didn’t reach far. A woman stepped out of it with her orange umbrella already up, tilting it against the sun as she walked. I could have done with an umbrella TBH. A Soft Sunset over Alicante The sun had already gone down over the port at Alicante when I took this, leaving a band of orange over the cranes that faded into clear blue. The AYN Thor is such a fun little device, here it is running Nura (postmarketOS)! With the 7.3 kernel plus a few patches. (Plasma Bigscreen could be a pretty good match for this device if I can make it handle the dual screens well...)
