Another @hackergarten Luzern evening, this time with no shortage of ideas on the flipchart. I missed the opening pitches, so I just went straight for @fitpub again, same as every time. Found a bug while poking around the public timeline. My iPhone 18 Pro Max finally has a variable aperture, and I wanted a test where the difference is obvious without pixel peeping. So I went outside at midnight and shot the same path twice. First photo is f/1.48, second is f/4.0. Look at the lamps. Wide open they are just soft round blobs. Opened Disney+ to look at plans and the big number already made me cringe. CHF 17.90 a month for Premium. Then I read the grey text underneath. That is the discounted price, for six months only. After that Premium becomes CHF 23.40 a month, Standard goes from 13.90 to 16.90, and even the plan with ads climbs from 8.90 to 9.90. So the headline price is not the price. AdGuard Home finally reached 1.0, at least as a beta, and I could not wait. Switched the Docker tag from latest to beta, backed up the config first, and it came up without complaints. Everything in the UI is rebuilt. The dashboard is cleaner, the settings finally make sense, and the query log got proper sorting and filtering. Barely October and I have already started decorating, both at home and at the office. Here is my office door so far. Bloody handprints on the window, a pumpkin, plastic spiders hiding on the radiator and the cabinet. And a big DO NOT ENTER poster, glued right under the emergency exit sign. I am fairly sure that breaks some Swiss fire safety rule, but it looks great. How are you getting ready for Halloween?
