"it's tired and I'm late" Not that way around

22 years ago I signed into the World of Warcraft open beta and spent the next ten years very involved in it (maybe, too involved!). But that time passed and I've not really had a game since quite consume me as much or maybe be as rewarding. But Blizzard are doing effectively WoW 2 now, and maybe it's time to go back to that sort of game. Just, I really should avoid the hardcore raiding guilds this time, right? https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/forever

RE: https://mastodon.social/@xodus_online/117336003965376864 According to CyberSafeKids, Snapchat is used by 21% of 8-12 year olds, and 78% of 12-15 year olds, in Ireland. https://www.cybersafekids.ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/FINAL-The-Year-Little-Changed.pdf Meanwhile Snapchat itself brags about how it drives consumption of fast fashion, cosmetics, junk food and consumer goods, and about how extra receptive its particular users are (let me guess... maybe because they are younger???). htt...

RE: https://mastodon.social/@evadowling/116999605749875347 I spoke to one of these Palestinian students online yesterday, it's just appalling that these talented and enthusiastic young people, who have got offers of j university places and funding, are being denied visas to study in Ireland. Linux question - As a parent I am interested in alternatives for secondary school student educational devices which are NOT apple iPads with MS teams, google search and unlimited AI and internet, and which restrict access to only a white list of educational content and in-school communications. I read https:// fedoramagazine.org/author/eonfge/ by @fedora (Kevin Degeling) - wondering are there any organisations marketing pre-configured linux educational devices/laptops for school students ?

Let’s hope this proposed ‘unifying theory’ of chronic fatigue leads to new avenues for diagnosis and treatment. 🙏 TL;DR: Researchers at the University of East Anglia and Oxford BioDynamics, found that long Covid, ME/CFS, PTSD, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis may affect overlapping biological networks involved in immune function, metabolism, cellular energy, and stress responses. The study used existing genetic data and 3D genome analysis rather than collecting new patient samples....
