Quante volte l'ho invitato a Torino. Ci è venuto una volta, senza dirmelo. Adesso ha una buona scusa. Mascalzone fino all...

For this week's jukebox music theme, A Wider World, here is a contemporary song from the world of Afro-Peruvian music. Susana Baca, the award-winning singer-songwriter, sings "María Landó", the song of a poor working woman's life. English translation: "María has no time to lift up her eyes, María exhausted by...

According to an article in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Hamas offered a deal to return all civilian hostages on October 7th, 2023, at 19:00. The prime minister of Quatar called the head of Mossad and told him that Hamas is ready to release all civilians now, and we are prepared to mediate. But the Israelis weren't interested. Apparently Netanyahu wanted a war and wanted to destroy Hamas and Gaza. Mehdi Hasan tells the story: https://youtu.be/sS1XLSEnjyE

Questions arise concerning the currently super-hyped Linux configuration Omarchy. It's created by the Danish developer David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH) who is also the creator of Ruby-on-Rails. However, there's a rising concern about DHH's extremist right wing views, so much that Omarchy is now being called "a political movement disguised as a Linux distro. Over $18 million dollars from powerful men and companies are funding it." There is an effort to...

The Chicxulub asteroid caused mass extinction of 75% of plant and animal species on Earth 66 million years ago. But another asteroid is about to hit Earth, it's called Billionaires. They posses and control a large majority of wealth and power on the planet, and they are hell-bent to destroy it with their fossil powered electric plants, data centers, wars and land grabs that expels everyone living there. We have to do something about billionaires or they will enslave us all and destroy th...
